LinkedIn realized the error of their ways earlier this week, after changing the way users could download contacts. Before, members were able to export data about their connections into an Excel Spreadsheet – quickly and simply. After the changes earlier on in the week, it could take up to 72 hours for LinkedIn members to do the same. This was because people had to download all of the information from their LinkedIn accounts. Something which could take days, for those with a lot of information. Users were extremely unhappy with the changes, with some saying LinkedIn was turning into a “walled garden.” Now, the social media giant has decided to bring the feature back. Their announcement on Sunday let their users know that they had heard them, “loud and clear”. The feature has now been reinstated.
